Shipping starts with the quotation brief
Packaging is light but can occupy significant volume. Final carton size, case quantity, pallet plan, destination, and delivery deadline can materially change the practical shipping route and landed cost.
Destination information
- Country, state or province, city, postal code, or destination port
- Commercial or residential delivery point
- Requested delivery deadline and launch date
- Importer, customs broker, or freight-forwarder details if available
Commercial terms to confirm
Ask the quotation to state the Incoterm, included freight scope, payment milestones, estimated production window, carton quantity, and which documents will be provided. Import duty, tax, customs examination, and local delivery responsibilities depend on the agreed term and destination.
Packing and identification
Confirm inner packing, carton marks, SKU labels, barcode requirements, palletization, moisture protection, and maximum carton weight. If several products ship together, provide a packing list structure before production.
Allow realistic time
Artwork approval, material preparation, production, QC, export handling, transit, customs, and final delivery are separate stages. Share the deadline early and keep launch contingency rather than treating the freight estimate as a guaranteed arrival date.
