A 12 oz label does not define a coffee bag. The approved pouch must connect the actual beans, packing date, target freshness window, sales route, filling method, and brand system to one written construction.
1. Start with the coffee and route
We record roast profile, whole bean or ground format, how soon the coffee is packed after roasting, whether nitrogen flushing is used, the expected time before consumption, and whether the bag will move through retail, ecommerce, subscription, wholesale, or export distribution.
2. Establish the filled volume
Two coffees at the same net weight can occupy different volumes. A fill test confirms width, height, gusset expansion, headspace, base stability, top opening, zipper clearance, valve location, and the way artwork sits on the filled panels.
3. Select a starting laminate

4. Configure the functional details
For coffee packed soon after roasting, the valve, its position, the surrounding film, the top seal, and headspace are treated as one degassing system. The zipper profile, tear direction, final seal clearance, and filling opening are then coordinated with the consumer and packing workflow.
5. Release one production specification
The final record identifies laminate construction, dimensions, valve, zipper, seals, artwork, color direction, case count, carton labels, inspection points, and the project documents that apply to that exact bag. That same record supports mass production and repeat orders.
