Retail packs can be read as a set of functional decisions. An opaque interior suggests a light-barrier direction; a valve supports freshly roasted coffee; a zipper supports repeated opening; and the base or gusset reveals how the pack is expected to stand and fill.
Look beyond the outside surface
A kraft appearance may still cover a metallized or foil barrier. A metallic-looking bag may use VMPET rather than aluminum foil. A clear window improves product visibility but reduces the opaque area protecting the coffee from light.
Use competitor packs for directional reference, then confirm the complete laminate, thickness, sealant, valve, zipper, dimensions, and filling test for your own product.
