The lowest empty-bag price is not always the lowest project cost. Rejected artwork, excess inventory, weak seals, unnecessary structures, inconsistent repeat orders and inefficient case packing can cost more than the saving shown on the quotation.

Protect the non-negotiable requirements

  • Complete food-contact construction and intended use
  • Barrier direction supported by the project target and applicable evidence
  • Sealant, zipper, valve and filled dimensions that work with the packing process
  • Readable mandatory copy and coding area
  • A controlled specification that can be repeated

Then optimize the commercial variables

Cost driver Question to ask
Number of SKUs Can several coffees share one base pouch and use variable labels?
Print route Does expected quantity per design justify full-surface printing, or is a shorter-run route more practical?
Bag sizes Can one validated size serve several coffees without hurting filled appearance?
Decorative effects Which finish materially improves recognition, and which is optional?
Packing and freight What are case quantity, carton dimensions, pallet efficiency and delivered cost?
Reorder risk How much inventory is safe for the brand’s forecast and artwork-change cycle?

Compare quotations on the same specification

A meaningful comparison uses the same net weight, dimensions, layer order, nominal thickness, valve, zipper, print coverage, finish, quantity per design, packing and delivery term. If one supplier has omitted a layer or service, the unit prices are not directly comparable.
